Burj Al-Arab has always been the expressionist interpretation of the traditional Dhow sail.
The Sail Tower pushes this interpretation into the digital era through organic bone-like structures, towering into a tent-like sail at its crown.
It hosts a forest at the plinth level, while hosting a rootop landscape overlooking Dubai.
The outer structure grows from its onion root into a linear forest of bones branching as the primary tower structure. The branches morph into sheets on the top floor raising the peak of the tower while offering shade to its roof. Another resonance from its past, Burj Al-Arab.
