FUTURE WORKING
Traditional industry is based on linear processes that involve manufacturing products in the cheapest places, shipping them around the world in containers and transforming them into waste wherever they are consumed. The new Eco digital format will promote the circular bioeconomy, bringing the production of goods closer to where the products are to be consumed and recycled, extending their useful life or giving them new lives. Cities are also part of this culture, bringing workplaces closer to the places where people live, and producing resources locally (food, energy, objects) to create more ecological cities.
ADVANCED URBAN HUB
This is the place of confluence of the ecological infrastructures (the canal and the green axis), mobility infrastructures (two metro lines) and the infrastructures for working (with six large towers).
It is defined as a large public living room for the exchange of information and social relations, defining a singular public space on a human scale but with all the excitement for the advanced cities.
EXTENDED STREETS
Street level is the most economically valued space in city centers. For this reason, the lower part of the tower is dedicated to an extended Street, where commercial, service or innovation activities can be found, depending on the interests of its owners.
The proposed widened streets reach the length of 1 km, which is similar to some of the best shopping streets in the world. Between the extended Street and the offices there is also an elevated public
plaza, with a prominent position on the Q Esplanade that creates a multidimensional
urban space.
SUPER HUB CENTER
We created 3 types of hyper-linked continuously moving space with slow traffic and efficient transport network. The hyper-linked hub center consists of 3 parts: Q-link, the transportation hub with 8 ports, the HQ Bazaar as corporate resource exchange hub, the TQ building as the future hub for Tech, Eco and Art, together with the cultural centers across the canal, forming the “HQ Cross Heart”.
SUPERBLOCKS
The Superblock is an urban plot model created to encourage the use of public space and social interaction by people within a vibrant urban environment. Superblocks redefine the urban order by consolidating blocks into larger urban units. People-oriented, green and healthy pedestrian streets will be shaped, and the traditional cars will be replaced by greener and environmentally friendly intelligent unmanned cars. The street corners will be designed as open and shared civic squares to increase the communication opportunities between neighbors and promote the common feelings of urban residents.
Within the Superblock unit, the combination of multiple functions means that a tight urban structure can be achieved without reducing living space. Buildings and Spaces of different shapes and size increase the diversity of the city and bring different people together from all directions. In the same public space, different categories of people take what they need and integrate with each other, which enhances the cohesion of the city and thus makes it more attractive.
ECOLOGICAL MACHINE
The self-sufficient blocks are an ecological machine that change the paradigm of industrial construction, because we must achieve that China is a country of zero emissions by 2060. We propose to make buildings that have an internal metabolism that follows the following principles:
1. It is built with mainly industrialized wood, with concrete structural core for the high-rise towers.
2. It produces energy with its solar covers that are placed on greenhouses.
3. Produces part of the food that its inhabitants need in solar greenhouses, which include various food production technologies.
4. It recycles the water in its buildings by separating gray water, which is purified to use it for irrigation.
5. It has a centralized information system that informs the inhabitants of the operation of the building.
