A fragile balance between survival and extinction.

The Last Encounter / Breaking The Ice is a stark yet playful commentary on climate change and the melting Arctic. Two origami-like polar bears, rendered in glowing yellow, balance precariously on a thin strip of ice—their last refuge in an ocean of uncertainty. The installation’s minimal geometry contrasts its urgent message, using the language of simplicity to highlight the fragility of ecosystems and the irreversible impact of human activity. Both poetic and foreboding, the piece invites viewers to reflect on the shrinking divide between survival and extinction.
