A 3D-printed lectern combining fluid form, structural integrity, and cutting-edge design, created for the Fujairah Media Forum 2024.
The 3D-printed lectern for the Fujairah Media Forum 2024 is a result of a design-driven process aimed at balancing form, function, and material efficiency. Using large-scale robotic 3D printing, we experimented with achieving minimal thickness while maintaining structural stability. The design features a closed-loop geometry, ensuring both rigidity and a visually fluid form.
To enhance its strength, we integrated a tween pattern, strategically distributed along the structure’s surface. This pattern not only reinforces the lectern but also gives it a unique texture, emphasizing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The curvature of the design was optimized to distribute weight evenly, creating a stable yet lightweight structure.
This design pushes the boundaries of additive manufacturing, using cutting-edge technology to deliver a refined, modern lectern that aligns with the futuristic theme of the event.
